Belarus – Tatarstan relations develop productively

As stated at a meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Belarus – Tatarstan relations are developing productively. As of last year, the trade turnover reached 760 million dollars. Belarus exports agricultural machinery, spare parts for cars and tractors, paints and polymers. Tatarstan supplies Belarus with crude oil, engines, and electric generators. According to the road map for cooperation, by 2020, new projects are expected to be launched, too.

The meeting also focused on issues of delivering Belarusian buses to Tatarstan, as well as the deepening of cooperation between KAMAZ and Belarusian companies that produce auto components. In addition to negotiations, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the historical part of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia, aw well as the business and cultural complex of the diplomatic mission, and signed the Book of Honored Guests.
