Joint projects discussed in detail at Belarusian-Georgian forum

Participants of the Belarusian-Georgian forum discussed at the length the present and future of joint projects set up in the two countries. Nearly 100 companies from Belarus and about 200 from representatives of the business sector of Georgia gathered in Tbilisi.

Almost 30 contracts and agreements were signed. In particular, MTZ will supply 50 tractor kits and will work out the technology at the assembly plant in Batumi. Also, a contract for a million dollars was signed by the Minsk Automobile Plant. The possibility of creating joint ventures for the production of Belarusian dairy and meat products in the territory of Georgia is being considered as well.

The network of Belarusian food products in Georgia is represented by nine stores. In addition to specialized stores, Belarusian products will appear in supermarkets of this country in about 2 weeks. Deliveries of Belarusian chocolates and candy are scheduled as well.

Also this year, a shopping center that sells exclusively Georgian products will open in Minsk.
