Today Moscow hosted a joint meeting of the SAIs of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. The purpose of the meeting was to sum up the results of the past year. The budgets of the member states of the Customs Union in 2014 received 19.4 billion dollars of import customs duties. This is 20% less than in 2013. This was mostly caused by the difficult economic and political situation in the world.
From 1 January 2015, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia have reached a new level of cooperation. They passed from the Customs Union to the Eurasian Economic Union.
