Modernized Minsk Worsted Plant intends to enter markets of Europe, Turkey, and Iran

By Alesya Vysotskaya: The recently modernized OAO Kamvol – Minsk Worsted Plant – has great ambitions. Among them is entering the markets of Europe, Turkey, Iran, and the Middle East on the whole.

The company – OAO Kamvol – was basically reborn from scratch. A team of professionals works here now, and experts point out that the new equipment one of the best that there is in the world today.

Turkey holds 30% of the world’s market, which is why Minsk Worsted Plant concluded a cooperation agreement with Turkish companies.

Anatoly Subbotko, the General Director of OAO Kamvol:

"We have developed 116 kinds of wool and wool blend. This partnership is a brand new level for us. We have signed a contract for the supply of 117,000 linear metres of fabrics, and we are creating a new range of products on the Turkish market."

By late 2017, the plant is expected to produce 2.3 million metres of fabric. In 2018, Minsk Worsted Plant has plans to double the output.
