16 февраля 2022
Belarus and Cuba are aimed at new cooperation projects. This was stated in the Council of Ministers at the meeting of the Prime Minister and the Cuban ambassador to Belarus on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission. Mutual trade, which declined due to the pandemic in 2020, gained momentum last year and grew threefold. Contacts in the international arena and within the framework of integration structures are maintained on a regular basis. The head of the Cuban government constantly takes part as an observer in meetings of the EAEU Five, and the countries are ready to look for new opportunities to intensify interaction at the bilateral level. Last year the trade turnover between Belarus and Cuba amounted to $23 million. The main export items are tractors, foodstuffs, and medical equipment and devices.
