The exports of the Belarusian agro-industrial enterprises to China have increased by more than half since the beginning of the year, as compared to the same period last year. There is an increased demand for milk powder, beef and poultry in the Celestial market. The prices of domestic goods are competitive in the PRC, including due to container transportation: our national logistics operator has a big role here. By the way, the Belarusian Customs Service has recently opened a transport and logistics center in the Great Stone Industrial Park. And this means new opportunities and prospects for its residents. Today, there are almost 70 of them.
Vadim Babarikin, General Director of the Belarusian Customs Service:
In 2020 alone, we sent more than 30 trains formed by the Belarusian Customs Service with the export of our goods to China. The work is carried out quite successfully and promptly. We have good state partnership relations with operators in China. We are able to provide comprehensive terminal processing, cargo insurance, labeling and special packing.
According to the results of 2020, the Belarusian Customs Service became the best in the "Forwarder of the Year" contest. Among the current achievements of the country's largest logistics operator is a new type of services - storage and handling of medicines that come to warehouses both from Belarusian pharmaceutical companies and importing companies.
