Belarus’ National Bank reduces refinancing rate

19 июля 2017

The National Bank of Belarus has once again reduced the refinancing rate. Starting today, it has gone down by one point to make up 12% per annum.

The National Bank’s decision is associated with positive trends observed in the currency and deposit markets. This is the sixth decrease in the key rate within the year.

The refinancing rate decrease directly influences the easing of loans. Its further decrease will depend on many factors, including the state of gold and foreign currency reserves, the country's balance of payments and inflation (which has amounted to about 3% over the past six months).
