Internal EAUE markets to be free from barriers

18 апреля 2017

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has had a meeting where barriers for the movement of Belarusian goods and services were discussed. The EAUE is planning to remove obstacles regarding state purchase contracts, as well as national phytosanitary norms, and customs and technical regulations. Participants noted that today businesses are facing a number of obstacles that can be overcome.

Karine Minasyan, the EAUE Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information & Communication Technologies, pointed out that considering the recent economic downturn, it is crucial to open the economies and - at the same time - support national producers. The only thing that is unacceptable is any inconsistencies between legislative norms and the legislation of the Eurasian Union.

The EAUE is now working on road maps that will specify the time frames when the member states are expected to remove the existing barriers.
