Cooperation between Belarus and Russia’s Novosibirsk region needs new approaches to revitalising trade and economic ties, as stated by Chairman of the National Assembly Mikhail Myasnikovich at yesterday’s meeting with a Russian delegation. Last year, Belarus’ trade turnover with the region amounted to about 230 million dollars, the county’s exports totaling nearly 190 million, made up primarily of tractors, trucks and oil products.
Total turnover for January-September of this year is about 100 million dollars, the main imports being engines, signaling equipment and household cooking equipment. The parties stressed that Belarus and the Novosibirsk region have all possibilities to increase the trade turnover.
