22 июля 2014

The South African country considers our state as a partner for the development of business relations in agriculture and agribusiness. Mozambique has 35 million hectares of arable land, thus, African farmers are interested in the experience of their Belarusian colleagues. Trade turnover between the two countries in 2013 was 9 million dollars. This year experts expect increased exports.

Armando Inroga, Minister of Commerce and Industry of Mozambique:

Mozambique has recently demonstrated the GDP growth rate of 7.5% per year. It concerns the last 20 years of economic development of the country. Mozambique is one of the most attractive countries in terms of foreign investment in South Africa.

Vladimir Ulakhovich, deputy chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce:

It is necessary to present our country today as a full-fledged global player. We sell our products to almost 180 countries. With some export positions Belarus is in the top, despite the fact that we are not a large country. And moving closer to Africa is a very serious and sound approach.
