Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus assists Turkey in fighting fires

The Ministry of Emergencies of Belarus continues to provide assistance in fighting fires to Turkish rescuers. 2 Mi-8 aircrafts from the Poyraz and Marmaris sites have already completed 157 flights and made 815 water drops. The total flight time is almost 245 hours.

Flight and technical personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus will stay in Turkey until October. The monitoring of the fires is going on over the territory of Belarus. More than 350 flights were made over 8 months and 182 fires were detected. It is aviation monitoring that allows detecting fires in ecosystems at the very beginning, this contributes to the rapid elimination and minimization of the consequences.
