Belarusian MART intensifies monitoring prices before Christmas

The Ministry of Anti-Monopoly Regulation and Trade is stepping up monitoring  prices and availability of a wide range of goods on the store shelves before the Christmas and New Year holidays. During these days the turnover increased by 15 percent or more.  A particular attention is paid to socially important goods and products for Christmas party. Such control measures are annual and are aimed at ensuring that customers always had a choice, that the products were available and that there were no distortions in prices in large shopping malls or small stores near houses.

In Belarus, in the run-up to the winter holidays, more than 400 retail facilities, restaurants and cafes are also extended their opening hours.
