New approaches to economic policy for the next year and a half as well as measures aimed at counteracting sanctions were discussed at a government session on May 30. The agenda included a draft law on improving the economy. Before sending it to the parliament, it is important to make a final decision on the disputed issues. Besides, there are some controversial issues. The document's provisions touch upon practically all spheres: from investment to social guarantees for the population. External barriers affect everyone, in particular, large enterprises face difficulties when they have to rearrange the usual stages of the production process.
The solution lies in the reorientation of exports from Ukraine and the EU to Russia and Asia, as well as aggressive import substitution. The efficiency of this formula largely depends on the timing of its implementation. Therefore all levels should be involved in the work.
The main purpose of the bill is to allow people work in peace and minimize the impact of sanctions on society. Also, the document is aimed at protecting state interests and strengthening economic security.
