The only pharmaceutical company in the Brest region is the first one in the country to produce a combination drug for the treatment of Hepatitis C. Previously, such drugs were produced only abroad while domestic enterprises of the pharmaceutical industry offered consumers a complex of tablets. Now two drugs will be replaced by one. The price for the domestic drug is more affordable.
The pharmaceutical company in Drogichin is a part of the holding company Belfarmprom. It regulates the production of medicines in Belarus. In total, the pharmaceutical industry of the country unites 37 enterprises.
The President has repeatedly pointed out to the government the necessity to produce domestic medicines. The quality of Belarusian medicines should comply with the world standards. Today, more than half of the drugs on the Belarusian market are domestic. The price for them is lower. The buyer should be assured of their quality.
In the near future, the plant will expand its capacity. It is planned to build a modern pharmaceutical shop.
