The National Agency for Investment and Privatization signed a cooperation agreement with the Minsk City Technopark. Among the innovations is a "one window" option, which is going to draw new investors in the capital. One of the tasks is to create new industrial enterprises of small and medium business with export-oriented products.
Dmitry Krasovsky, director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization of Belarus:
"If you look at the statistics in terms of regions, Minsk accounts for 75-80% of foreign direct investment in Belarus. It may seem that Minsk doesn't need investments. But if you look at the industries, it is retail and wholesale trade, real estate, logistics. We are going to persuade the investors that Minsk is the right place for creating new manufacturing and hi-tech jobs".
This year a new building of the National Children's Technopark will open in the Belarusian capital. Schoolchildren will be able to master knowledge in such popular areas as biotechnology and green chemistry, environmental engineering and robotics.
