Wood waste recycling complex opens in Brest

A complex for recycling wood waste into biofuels, which has opened in Brest, comprises of special equipment, a crusher and a screening machine, which allows addressing environmental issues and supplying the city with additional heat energy from the waste. The initiative has been implemented as part of the project Facilitating Belarus’ Transition to a Green Economy.

The complex worth over 600,000 euros is planned to process about 50,000 cubic meters of timber annually. Financial assistance has been provided by the European Union under the United Nations Development Programme.
