Belarus regards Azerbaijan not just as partner but as close friend

This was stressed today by the President of the Council of the Republic at a meeting with the ambassador of Azerbaijan. According to Natalya Kochanova, the bilateral relations between the countries have considerably intensified in recent years. Minsk and Baku are going to continue to develop the multilateral cooperation in all areas. 

Belarus and Azerbaijan: multi-vector cooperation 

Thus, 5 entities of the commodity distribution network and 45 dealers representing over fifty Belarusian enterprises have been created in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijan Trade House operates in Minsk and is granted preferential treatment for the delivery of a group of food products to the Belarusian market. By the way, the bilateral trade turnover for 10 months of last year amounted to almost 450 million dollars. The main items of our export to Azerbaijan include timber, furniture, medicines, butter, beef, cheese, cottage cheese and other goods. We import oil, tomatoes, canned fruits, nuts and spirits from Azerbaijan.
