Traditionally, the Head of State begins the review of the situation with the course of harvesting campaign. Despite the unstable weather, the time for farmers is really hot. The fundamental task is not to lose a spikelet in such difficult conditions. Every detail is important in this chain: from personal discipline to the strict implementation of technology. That is why the President pays such attention to the culture of agriculture: a competent harvesting strategy is needed. According to the plan the country should harvest more than 9 million tons of grain this year including corn.

Alexander Lukashenko visited the Shapchitsy-agro livestock farm sponsored by Atlant. About a hundred specialists work at the farm. In recent years, about 4 million rubles have been invested here. Last year alone, profit amounted to 5 million. The situation at the Atlant plant is more complicated. The President intends to understand in detail what is happening in the workshops of the industrial giant. Perhaps the company will be provided with state support. Another problematic issue discussed today is the death of livestock. At the end of the year, the number of dead cattle will be calculated in each region and in the whole country.

The President promises serious investigation into the facts of flagrant mismanagement. Last year alone about twenty thousand heads of cattle died in the Minsk region.

Another point of the presidential route is the Stariye Dorogi Experimental Forestry. It is suggested to create a complete wood processing cycle in the country, including that of low-quality wood. To do this, a national program will be developed. One of the stages is the construction of pellet plants.

The demand for fuel pellets made from low-quality wood is extremely high, especially in Western Europe. In the next five years it is planned to bring processing to the maximum to prevent decay of wood materials.
