Strengthening food security and offer of more products to buyers were discussed at the seminar with local manufacturers and trade today in Brest. The manufacturers shouldn't raise prices for products by more than 4%, sell for export lower than the cost, neglect the costs in the domestic market, according to MART. Trade should reduce the size of bonuses for getting in the market and keep the minimum allowances for socially significant goods - cereals, bread, milk, as well as increase the share of Belarusian products to 85% in stores. Imports currently exceed 20%.

Vladimir Koltovich, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus: "Today at a meeting with manufacturers, traders and suppliers, we must clarify our relationship, clarify the rules of the game. And we would like to hear, whether suppliers and traders will follow these recommendations".

MART gives producers and traders one and a half months to implement the recommendations. Otherwise, MART will move from advice to harsher measures.
