This became known from the report of Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei to the President. At the meeting in the Palace of Independence they discussed the development of relations with the Eurasian and European Unions, the schedule of international meetings and, of course, the results of foreign economic activity. The President reminded that economy is number one priority, and its basis is export.
In the first half of the year, the Belarusian products were supplied to the 171 states. The exports brought more than 20 billion dollars. Cooperation with geographic neighbors, as well as long-distance partners and colleagues in international associations is being strengthened. The share of the Unified Energy System accounts for more than 40% of Belarusian exports. Vladimir Makei pointed to economic recovery in almost all regions and countries. But at the same time there are enough negative moments, which certainly do not help the promotion of Belarusian exports.
Still it is necessary to increase the share of high-tech products in the Belarusian export. Now the figure does not exceed 2.5 percent.
