There are plenty of high-demand products in the stores. This was stated by the Federation of Trade Unions following the results of monitoring. Fruit and vegetable products, crops, salt, sugar and meat are under control. In most of the inspected stores, all these goods are in sufficient quantity on the shelves. There were only a few cases when, for example, poultry and some vegetables were not available for sale. However, according to the specialists, such situations are promptly corrected. As for price dynamics in February in comparison with January, some rise in prices of dairy products, fish, sausage products, some kinds of groats and pasta was noticed.
Special attention of trade unions is the issue of stabilization of prices for fruit and vegetable products. On January 24, the Council of Ministers adopted a resolution setting the pre-sale prices for traditional Belarusian vegetables. Special attention is paid to the cost, availability and quality of Belarusian vegetables in the stores.
