6 million Euro to support small businesses in Belarus

The European Union will allocate 6 million Euros to support small businesses in Belarus through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The agreement was signed today in the Ministry of Economy. It will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of small enterprises, strengthening their potential, creating new jobs and diversifying the national economy. More than two hundred small enterprises will be able to use advisory services and new technologies of the program. Particular attention will be paid to business outside the capital.

Other joint projects of Belarus and EBRD were discussed at the meeting between Minister of Economy Vladimir Zinovsky and president of the bank Suma Chakrabarti. They discussed the first pilot project of public-private partnership: reconstruction of a section of the M-10 highway.
