Energy willow to be used instead of gas

Energy willow plantations will soon appear in Kobrin district. About 140 thousand cuttings have already been planted on five hectares. This is a pilot project of local utilities services. The goal is to get wood chips for boilers on solid fuel. All this will reduce the use of gas boilers, reduce the cost of services and the cost of wood.

The first plantation of energy willow is planned to be created in the fall of this year on 500 hectares. Increasing the amount of chips is an urgent need for the region. In the near future, two more powerful 12 and 17 megawatt boiler-houses will appear in Kobryn, which will also work on solid fuels.
