The first meeting of the Belarusian-French commission on trade and economic cooperation will be held in Minsk February. The agenda of the meeting was discussed by Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and diplomats of France. The Belarusian Head of the Government noted positive dynamics in bilateral relations, especially in recent months. This year, the Belarusian exports to France increased by 130%. For the first time it will exceed $ 100 million, giving impetus to interaction and joint ventures.
Pavel Latushko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France: We spoke on cooperation in energy, agriculture and other areas of economy, discussed specific projects which will be implemented by Belarus and France in the near future. This a project of assembling Peugeot and Citroen cars and of construction a hotel net in Belarus.
Tomorrow the dialogue on strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation will continue. Minsk will host a regional meeting with the ambassadors of France in the CIS and Georgia.
