The Union State budget for the current year is planned to stay on the last year's level of 4.8 billion Russian rubles. Plus, it will include nearly two billion Russian rubles of residual funds from previous years.
The draft financial document was considered today at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State. Fixed assets will be used for implementation of 35 programs and activities in such areas as energy, construction and transport. The money is also reserved for new projects: space exploration, electronics, children's surgery. In addition, financing of the joint program on overcoming consequences of the Chernobyl disaster will be increased this year.
The Union State budget for this year will be approved at the meeting of the Supreme State Council with participation of the presidents of Belarus and Russia. The event will be held in Minsk in late February.
