The world economy has undergone various shocks. One of the most serious of them is the pandemic. Besides, there are issues of misunderstanding with the neighbors. One should not relax and it is important to keep the situation under control.
The situation at the customs and possible reorientation of Belarusian cargoes wasaddressed by the President this week. Due to the coronavirus (or rather the consequences of the total closure of the economies of most countries due to the quarantine) and the tax maneuver in the oil industry, the budget of Belarus this year fell short of hundreds of millions of rubles. The task is to catch up and stay at the level of 2019.
We have more than 6 billion rubles in customs payments and 71 million tons of transit goods since the beginning of the year. There is a noticeable increase in activity of the drivers after the pandemic. At the same time, the President reminded about his instruction to calculate how beneficial it is for us to redirect the cargoes from the Baltic direction to the Russian one. Our western partners are forcingusto do this.
