18 декабря 2017

Today, the Budget-2018 was adopted by the House of Representatives in the first reading by a majority vote. It is planned with a surplus. This means that we plan to earn more than to spend. Our hopes are connected with the real sector, with the flow of money from the export of potash fertilizers and export oil duties, notes Minister of Finance Vladimir Amarin. We will also place Eurobonds for $ 600 million. Next year, Belarus will receive the 7th tranche from the EAEU in the amount of $ 200 million. The growth of the economy will directly affect the increase in incomes: for state employees they will increase by 14 percent. Pensions will remain at the level of 40% of the average monthly salary in the country.

The deputies adopted a conservative scenario of economic development with the GDP growth of 1.2 percent, inflation of 7.5 and the refinancing rate of 11 percent. According to the forecast of socio-economic development, the gross domestic product is expected to grow by 3.5 percent.
