The Belarusian delegation led by speaker of the lower house Vladimir Andreichenko is on a visit to Switzerland. This is the first visit in the history of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations. The agenda includes issues of interparliamentary cooperation, as well as deepening of trade, credit and investment relations, implementation of agricultural cooperation projects. Negotiations have been held with deputies and heads of committees of the National Council of Switzerland and with President of the National Council Dominique de Buman. As a result of the meetings, a memorandum of understanding was signed.
As a result of last year, the trade turnover between Belarus and Switzerland amounted to almost $ 160 million. The volume of Swiss investment in our country is 50 million. Among the spheres of mutual interest are pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and precision engineering.
