Belarus supports creation of transcontinental transport corridors and digital highways in EAEU and SCO

Belarus supports the creation of transcontinental transport corridors and digital highways of the EAEU and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries. This was stated by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov in Sochi at the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Organization. One of the key forms of such cooperation may be the belt of the Silk Road. Much has already been done within the framework of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone.

A powerful IT cluster has been created in Belarus. Its potential can become a good base for increasing the effectiveness of interaction between the countries of the Shanghai Organization.

The construction of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone was discussed by Andrei Kobyakov with the Premier of the State Council of China. Also our country suggested declaring 2018 the Year of Tourism of Belarus in China.

Andrei Kobyakov has held a number of bilateral meetings at the summit. At the talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Enkhtuvshin, the sides noted the need to intensify cooperation. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations a good basis for fruitful contacts has been created and they need to be developed.

Iran is also interested in expanding political and economic relations with Belarus. This was stated by the First Vice-President of this country. At a meeting with Andrei Kobyakov, Eshaq Jahangiri notes that Tehran is counting on a visit to the country of the President of Belarus in the near future.
