China opened its market for the Belarusian poultry. The right of the first deliveries, which can start in mid May was received by five enterprises. This was told to our TV channel by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. This decision was taken by the parties following the results of the previous inspection and the final visit of the delegation of China last week. Today, the export potential for poultry meat in Belarus is about 150 thousand tons per year. Part of this production will go to the Celestial Empire. Belarusian products, including milk, will be promoted in China by a joint company, established recently in Shanghai. In the near future, their delivery by rail will be established. A special attention will be paid to electronic commerce.
The enterprises of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture supply dairy products, beef and flax to China. As a result, last year Belarus supplied a part of agricultural products to the market for $ 15 million.
Also, the department was informed that regular talks on deliveries of dairy products to Russia took place. The position of our country is to preserve the volumes of the previous year.
