Belarus entered the top 4 of the world exporters of cheese and cottage cheese, according to the results of the first quarter. Our producers (for the period from January to March of the current year) supplied almost 60 thousand tons of products, which is 11 tons more than in the same period in 2018. By these indicators, Belarus is ahead of Australia, Iran and Switzerland . The European Union is in the first place: its cheese exports amounted to 262 thousand tons. On the second place is the United States – 99. The main market of the Belarusian cheese and cottage cheese is Russia. It accounts for about 94 percent of exports. Also, our products are sold to Bulgaria, Georgia, Jordan, China, Latvia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Japan.
