Two major contracts of about $ 70 million for grain storage have been signed today with the Sudan Agricultural Bank. This state is the most important partner of Belarus in the Arab world and in Africa. The level of bilateral interaction has increased. The sides exchanged visits at the highest level. Cooperation has intensified in the energy, fuel and mineral sectors, as well as in textile industry and construction. Long-term cooperation in machine building and agriculture remains a priority.

Sergei Rachkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus in Egypt, Oman, Algeria and Sudan:

"We have been paying considerable attention to projects in Sudan recently. We have developed more than 7 projects in the field of industry, agriculture, mining, education and a number of other areas. The impetus to this development was given by the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus and we are counting on the development of cooperation with the Sudan, primarily in the trade and economic sphere."

The implementation of the agreements will increase the strategic reserves of grain in the Sudan by three times. The works will be completed in 2021.
