Belarus expects to finalize discussions with Lithuania on nuclear power plant in February

Belarus expects to put an end to discussions with Lithuania on nuclear power plant at the session of the Espoo Convention. It will be held in February 2019 in Geneva. Representatives of the two countries are working now on a draft bilateral intergovernmental agreement. The Belarusian side believes that involvement of experts from international organizations will help reach a compromise.

The first power unit of the Belarusian NPP will be commissioned before the end of 2019. Our country expects to increase electricity exports to the EAEU market.
