Belarus counts on a further development of cooperation with the World Bank, as stated today by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky at today’s meeting with World Bank Senior Vice President Kyle Peters.

The World Bank has started developing a new strategy to support Belarus in 2018-2021 and is ready to discuss its priority areas. Recently, Belarus has significantly expanded its interaction with the financial institution. The implementation of 7 new projects worth 650 million dollars has launched in healthcare and education.

Over a quarter-century the World Bank has invested more than 1.5 billion dollars in Belarus. The money went to finance projects in energy, environmental protection and enhancing the country's transit potential.
