Belarus hopes to increase cooperation with Iran and attract Iranian investments. It was stated by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov at the meeting with Iranian Minister of Industry Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh. At present, the volume of bilateral trade is small, last year it was about $ 70 million. And it does not correspond to the existing potential. The ministers of industry signed a roadmap for two years at the meeting of the joint Belarusian-Iranian commission on economic cooperation. The roadmap identifies areas of cooperation: petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, engineering and the establishment of joint ventures.
