Belarus extends ban on export of wheat flour and buckwheat for three months

15 марта 2022
Belarus has extended a ban on the export of wheat flour and buckwheat of all types. The decision was adopted by the resolution of the Council of Ministers and will be valid for three months. The restrictions have been in place since last July due to a coronavirus infection. The ban does not apply to goods for international humanitarian aid. Restrictions also do not apply to a number of international transit traffic.

This is not the only measure to protect the domestic market. Earlier in March, the ban on exports of grain crops from the country, including to the EAEU states, was extended. Temporary restrictions were introduced in late August 2021 and prolonged for another six months.
