Belarus pays special attention to strengthening ties with the Republic of Korea, which is the world’s top IT country. We are interested in creating a national system of paperless trade and e-Government. This was announced today by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko at a meeting with the Director General of a Korean company. A Belarusian-Korean cooperation IT centre has already been opened in Minsk. Also, the first Belarusian-Korean forum on e-government was held.
Vladimir Semashko, the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus: "This visit will help accelerate the implementation of joint projects. We are grateful to you that you have already carried out research on our future prospects, the capacity of the Republic of Belarus to implement these projects, as well as a plan for building a national paperless trade. It is an important step for us."
Also, the priority areas of cooperation with Israel were discussed today in the House of Representatives. Speaker Vladimir Andreichenko met with Deputy Knesset Speaker and head of the Israel-Belarus inter-parliamentary friendship league Tali Ploskov. Legislators are ready to help promote trade ties, investment inflows, as well as cultural exchanges and tourism.
