Today, for the first time, our country took part in the meeting of the World Trade Organization Committee in Geneva on an equal basis with the member states of this association. Belarus presented the legal aspects of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. As noted, our country is already de facto implementing the WTO rules in foreign trade in goods and services. We hope for the early completion of negotiations on joining the market of large trade. For now, we participate in discussions as an observer.
In the coming days, the meetings of the Belarusian delegation with representatives of the WTO will continue. They will discuss the convergence of positions on access to the WTO market for our goods and services in the framework of the current negotiation process.
