The Belarusian Prime Minister stated that it’s only the beginning at the meeting with a delegation from the Rosatom Company. The most important project for Belarus is the construction of a nuclear power plant. The first power unit was launched into commercial operation in June, and the second one is under construction. Its readiness is almost 88 %. And the Belarusian side is interested in meeting the deadlines for the construction of this facility. Long-term prospects of interaction were also strengthened by the developed Union program on nuclear energy.

Belarus is working to create a unified state system for radioactive waste management. The advisory assistance of Rosatom is important here, given its rich experience in the formation of this system. The state corporation is also ready to jointly deal with projects related to energy storage, smart energy and digital solutions.
