This was discussed today by President Alexander Lukashenko and Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the talks in the Palace of Independence. Minsk and Tashkent managed to completely renew their relations over the previous two years, and now a new task, which was agreed by the leaders of the two States is to increase the trade turnover and strengthen cooperation at the regional level. The Belarusian leader and the head of Uzbekistan identified specific areas where countries can build up cooperation: the industrial complex for the production of Belarusian equipment may appear in the Central Asian Republic.  And in General, the leaders count on the rapid strengthening of trade and economic ties.

Following the talks, Alexander Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a joint statement on the further development of bilateral relations. They strengthen the partnership of the state in the fight against terrorism and smuggling.  Special attention is paid to humanitarian, scientific and educational spheres. In short, Belarus and Uzbekistan are planning cooperation for years to come and intend to achieve joint success.

The  Presidents of Belarus and Uzbekistan planted a tree on the Walk  of Guests of Honor near the Palace of Independence - this is another good tradition. And then they went to get acquainted with the exhibition "Made in Uzbekistan". It presents a thousand items from the Asian Republic. Another proposal and invitation from our President for Uzbek enterprises is to work more actively in the Belarusian market. By the way, the effect of the last forum of the regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan is already noticeable.

The  Presidents have repeatedly stressed during the conversation that they will do everything possible to ensure that the relations between Minsk and Tashkent developed rapidly in the future. By the way, Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Alexander Lukashenko to Uzbekistan.
