18 февраля 2018

Belarus and Turkey are ready to increase mutual trade and create joint ventures. The Prime Minister of this country has visited Minsk this week. This is the first visit of the head of government in the history of our diplomatic relations. As a result, a number of agreements were signed. Among them are agreements on cooperation in cargo transportation, promotion of investment protection and sports development.

The new contracts were discussed at a business forum, where at least 300 participants gathered. Almost 11 million dollars were earned last year by Belarusian agricultural enterprises. They took advantage of the deficit of butter on the world market. As a result, exports grew 100 times compared to 2016.

Interests of the two countries coincide in the construction and textile industries, as well as in the production of auto components and mobile communications 4G and 5G. New spheres for the future cooperation are logistics and the exchange of technologies. This year we expect more Turkish investments and the opening of modern production facilities.
