Belarus and Siberia may reach a billion dollar trade turnover by the end of the year. Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov has met with representative of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District Sergey Menyaylo.
The main prospects are found in industrial cooperation. In June, the first tram was produced at a joint venture in Novosibirsk. On Saturday the fair of Belarusian goods will open there. Sergey Menyaylo has noted the high quality of our products.
The Prime Minister spoke about the possibility of a direct flight between Minsk and Novosibirsk at a meeting with governor of the Novosibirsk region Vladimir Gorodetsky. The air traffic between Minsk and Novosibirsk will be resumed most likely in March. The parties expressed their interest in promoting new medical technologies together and developing the agro-industrial complex. Belarus and the Novosibirsk region have organized a joint production of trams and plan to launch the production of combine harvesters.
