The ministries of energy of Belarus and Russia have adopted a draft interstate agreement on the formation of a common power market. According to the Ministry of Energy, the rules of its functioning will be developed by the end of the year. According to the relevant minister, the contract will set out the legal framework for the formation and operation of the common power market of the Union State, defines the powers of public authorities and infrastructure organizations of the two countries, as well as the subject composition of the market. The ministry specified that formation of the united market will be held in three stages.
