In just 4 years, Belarus and China have gone a long way from the first acquaintance with the Belarusian food to partnership, high demand in products and growing supplies. This opinion was expressed by Cui Qiming – the Chinese Ambassador to Belarus during the project Conversation with the President. The diplomat highly praised the quality of Belarusian dairy products and beef. These are products that are already supplied to the Chinese market, and the geography of supplies is growing. Also, the Ambassador announced the launch of new joint projects in agriculture and the start of the export of Belarusian poultry to the Chinese market. The popularity of Belarusian food products is ensured by the high quality, strict standards, and ecology of both raw materials and finished export products.
Cui Qiming, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus: "Belarusian dairy products and beef are very popular in the Chinese food market. I will give an example. I follow the news and I learned that your food is already sold in the shops of Wuhan, and this is the capital of the economically developed Hubei Province in central China. In addition, Belarusian products have won the hearts and preferences of Chinese consumers in such large metropolises as Changsha and Nanjing. Everywhere they note the excellent quality of Belarusian food and have high demand for it. This can be explained in particular by the fact that Belarus has set strict standards for quality and environmental safety of both raw materials and final products."
The Chinese food market is a priority for Belarusian exporters. In April, a delegation of the Main State Administration for Quality Control, Inspection and Quarantine of China visited Belarus and it certified five Belarusian enterprises for the supply of poultry. It is expected that the first export batches will be sent already in early summer.
