Belarus and China have close economic, political and friendly ties

The tone of the relationship was set by the heads of the two states. Today, President Xi Jinping celebrates his jubilee. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the Chinese leader on his 65th birthday.

"You have opened a new page in the development of the People's Republic of China - the era of realizing the dream of a great revival of the Chinese nation and building a moderately prosperous society, a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The positive changes that have occurred over the past few years in the internal and external political life of Great China breathed more strength into the Belarusian-Chinese relations, and I am proud that our personal friendship and partnership between the two countries are getting stronger every year," the message says.

The Head of State also expressed his gratitude for the invitation to take part in the recent summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. According to Alexander Lukashenko, the results of its activities over the past year have convinced the whole world that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is becoming a global structure whose goal is to ensure the security and stability of the entire international community.

During the summit, bilateral meetings were held. As the Belarusian leader notes, the agreements reached will give a new powerful impetus to cooperation between Belarus and China and will contribute to the further development of interstate dialogue. On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, Alexander Lukashenko wished Xi Jinping constant success on the path to the early achievement of the Two Centenaries goals for the benefit of the friendly Chinese people.
