Belarus and Karelia intend to increase trade turnover to 100 million dollars

12 декабря 2018

This is the task for the next two years. Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy and head of the Karelian Republic Arthur Parfenchikov discussed it in the government today. The parties expect to strengthen cooperation primarily through the woodworking industry. Thus, Amkodor creates the production of harvesters and other equipment for logging in Petrozavodsk. Up to a thousand units are planned to be produced there annually.

Minsk and Petrozavodsk are also planning to strengthen cooperation in the agrarian sphere - our country will help the region develop dairy farms and supply passenger transport to the streets of the region. In turn, Karelia will increase the supply of fish and help Belarus to manufacture sea products. By the way, the northern republic helped in the construction of the Belarusian NPP: one of the enterprises supplied multi-layer seamless pipes for the station.
