Belarus and Egypt working on formation of business cooperation council

Today, Belarus and Egypt are working on the formation of a business cooperation council. This was announced at a meeting of  the President of Egypt with the Prime Minister of our country. The head of government stressed that Belarus is interested in a high degree of localization of joint ventures in Egypt and in extensive bilateral relations. Business advice should speed up these processes. Representatives of more than 40 large Belarusian machine-building, wood-processing and IT-industry companies also arrived at the meeting.

Belarus supplies trucks, tractors, X-ray equipment, potash fertilizers, cream and milk powder, petrochemicals and woodworking products to Egypt. Fruits, vegetables and textiles are brought to us. Over the four months of the year, the trade turnover amounted to more than $ 50 million, showing an increase of 45% over the same period last year and plus 72% of exports.
