Belavia fleet replenished with new airplane

In Brazil, a ceremony of transferring the airliner E-175 took place. This is the first Embraer aircraft that Belavia received. Last week, Belarusian engineers tested the aircraft. It was assembled at a plant in Brazil in about 3 months. The exterior design, the interior, as well as the location of the seats were slightly altered. Also, the aircraft has become more manageable and economical. There is now more space on the shelves for the carry-on bags. This is Belavia’s second deal with Embraer in the 5 years of their cooperation.

Anatoly Gusarov, the General Director of Belavia Airlines:

"Today, we made a decision that in the coming two years we will acquire 8 aircraft of this manufacturer. We will buy three aircraft this year, and then we will lease five more. This will provide an opportunity to expand the route network, open new lines, and most importantly – to provide passengers with comfortable flights, fairly low tariffs and a high level of comfort and service on these planes."

Today, the new plane will go to Minsk with three technical stops for refueling. Tomorrow, the National Airport will host a special ceremony where international industry experts and journalists are invited.
