Rent payments for legal entities may be postponed

Business support measures are being considered at the State Property Committee. They are designed for organizations that provide travel and transportation services, hotel and resort business, catering, domestic services. This will reduce the financial loss of the business due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation.

Victoria Vasilyeva, head of the main department of the State Committee for Property of Belarus: "We intend to provide such assistance if a tenant applies for it, considering he fulfilled necessary rent conditions before. The rent includes all taxes and fees and depreciation. If the landlord provides a benefit to the tenant, then he is also exempted from these taxes for the period."

The conditions will apply to leased premises, which are owned by the state or enterprises with a state share of more than a half. The landlord has the right to reduce the rental price by applying a minimum demand coefficient or by reducing profitability.
