The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed a note of protest to Lithuania over a violation of the state border. The violation was recorded on 19 April at 13:40. An aircraft penetrated into the territory of Belarus for a distance of up to 8 kilometers, and at 13:43 it turned around and left the airspace of Belarus. The entire time the aircraft was in the airspace of Belarus, it was controlled by means of the country’s anti-aircraft defence.
In the note of protest, the Belarusian Foreign Affairs Ministry emphasized that Minsk is waiting for explanations from Vilnius regarding the incident.
